Mission
Our mission is to assist as many people as possible in identifying, connecting and pursuing their dreams and passions and developing, using and expressing their gifts and talents.

Why Discovery Avenue

Since my late teens I have been passionate about seeing people pursue their dreams and reach their potential, and would encourage them to do so. But after time, it became clear to me that just encouraging people was insufficient and, in many ways, not very helpful. I realized that I was not offering anything tangible that could help people move forward and live the lives they desired to live.

Over the course of a number of years, I began to research and study what it was that made people thrive, along with what it was that hindered that happening. I came to realize that people who tapped into their unique dreams, passions, gifts and talents tended to live a fuller, happier and satisfying life. I also realized that many people were operating under common myths and misconceptions that limited what they were capable of and what they have to offer. Finally, I realized that while the outside world can have influence on how we live our lives, and what we see is possible in it, that the truest and best way to tap into our true potential is to look within.

The process of becoming more connected with who we truly are (ignoring what society or other people may say or believe) may seem a little bit daunting, but it leads to an abundance of ongoing and lasting benefits. We experience more joy and have more hope. Our relationships, with everyone in our lives, become healthier and more life-giving. Educational experiences become more satisfying and more in tune with what feeds and interests us. The work we choose to do reflects who we are, and what we value, not just a paycheck. Our self-confidence and self-esteem increase. And we have more energy and focus as we see our world open up. The possibilities and opportunities in our lives become nearly endless, allowing us to find our unique fit in the world.

As I became aware of this understanding and knowledge, it became clear to me that developing a company that centered on the concepts of dreams, passions, gifts and talents, offering something tangible to people to help them achieve the lives they desire, was the next step to take. That began the process of putting together a team with diverse life experiences, and resulted in the development of True You, Lifeshops and Lifesteps. We believe these tools will help enable you to live the life you long for and dream of.

My dream is to help revolutionize the way we see ourselves and what is possible in our lives, thereby making our lives more fulfilling and making the world a better place.

My personal belief is our gifts come from God and we are meant to use and develop them in a way that serves Him and those around us.

I believe that while we can go far in reaching our true potential without a spiritual life, we cannot fully realize it without having a personal relationship with God, living in tune with his moral teachings and following the promptings of the Holy Spirit.

With that said, I acknowledge that our spiritual life is a very personal thing. Whether you believe in God, another higher power, or neither, reaching for and realizing your true potential is an exciting and incredible pursuit.
